The 'micro-boutique' Arranmore Vineyard is situated on Rangeview Road, Carey Gully in the heart of South Australia's picturesque Adelaide Hills Super- premium Wine Region. It lies within the registered sub-region of the Piccadilly Valley. This is true cool - climate country and, for South Australia, high altitude.

The 5 acre vineyard is on a high easterly slope. The altitude varies from 1790 to 1870 feet above sea level; only about 500 feet lower than Mt Lofty Summit. The views from the vineyard are magnificent, extending in the East over the Onkaparinga Valley to the summit of Mount Barker.

Due to our position and altitude we have restricted ourselves to three varieties: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Pinot Noir is the main variety grown in our little 5-acre vineyard with about 4000 vines planted. Additionally there are about 2000 vines of chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Two clones of Pinot Noir are included, D5V12 and B115.

All our wines are made using traditional hands-on techniques. Open fermentation for the reds and long maturation in quality oak barrels (mainly French) with minimal filtration and preservatives combine to retain the true 'boutique' quality and individuality we seek.
